R.L. Hulett & Company is proud to welcome its newest Director, Dan Kreher. Dan has more than 25 years of broad financial and M&A experience including investment banking, financial management, corporate development and public accounting. Before joining R.L. Hulett, he worked with AEGIS Professional Services where he assisted early stage business enterprises in meeting their capital needs. Prior thereto he was a Managing Director of Warson Capital Partners, LLC, a boutique investment banking firm in St. Louis, serving the needs of lower middle market firms. While at Warson, Dan led a successful $65 million sell-side engagement representing a privately owned defense contractor in its sale to a strategic acquirer. In addition, he worked with a variety of other companies seeking institutional equity and growth financing.
Previously, he served as Senior Vice President with Engineered Support Systems, a St. Louis-based defense contractor, where he directed mergers and acquisitions activities and managed investor relations for this high-growth public company. In this role, he completed the acquisition of nine separate privately-owned businesses generating combined annual revenues of $650 million and representing an aggregate transaction value of approximately $500 million. Dan also spearheaded significant growth in the company’s institutional shareholder base and sell-side analyst coverage contributing to sustained advancement in share price from its previous micro-cap classification to a $1.8 billion market cap upon its eventual sale to a competitor in 2006.
Prior to Engineered Support, Dan was Vice President of Finance & Administration with D&K Healthcare Resources, a publicly-traded pharmaceutical distributor serving the central United States. At D&K, he was responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting, financing, treasury management and M&A during a period of rapid increases in the firm’s in revenues and shareholder value.
Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Louis University and is a licensed certified public accountant having spent the first nine years of his business career as an auditor within the middle-market practice group of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Dan is married with two school-aged daughters and he enjoys fishing, canoeing, camping and adventure travel. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as being active in a number of wildlife conservation organizations.
